A new unit will join the fleet at General Tank Cleaning this week (KW42/2019). As usual, the chassis was purchased from Volvo and then fully assembled at Kenisservice. Kenisservice always manages to deliver a top product.
Today, Friday 4 October, together with our safe car lifter our people were guests at "Honda Motors Europe Logistics" in Ghent. Our safe carlifter was extensively tested for its capabilities. It goes without saying that many questions were asked about possible additional possibilities and adjustments.
The works for the connections to the lower situated adjoining new site started this month. We have had to deal with a lot of inconveniences on several occasions, but we already note today that this expansion is more than necessary.
The Knikmops is a powerful, maneuverable and easy to use tool and was finally delivered. It was immediately deployed at the Total Refinery in Antwerp. Numerous easy-to-assemble attachments make the Knikmops a multifunctional and extremely reliable partner for our Tank Maintenance department.

The Agoria Solar Team consists of 19 students from KU Leuven, 16 boys and 3 girls. With their self-built solar car, the BluePoint, they will cover 3,021 kilometres in 5 days. All the way through Australia, from Darwin to Adelaide. In a scorching heat across the desert.
This week we started with the road works around the new workshop. An additional car park will also be provided for employees and visitors as the Port Authority wants vehicles to be stationed within our concession.
Hego was visited this week (KW32) by Achilles' auditor to monitor the documented policies and processes that Hego and GTC maintain.

Hego is the proud owner of the hippo "Port of Antwerp" of Hippo Parade 2018 of which the photo is attached. The Donkey Parade 2019 will be the successor of this successful charity event. This ambitious project is supported by both SMEs and multinationals and runs from 1 July to 30 September.

At Hego and General Tank Cleaning, quality, safety and the environment are of paramount importance. Our prevention advisor Steve Verloy will from now on be clearly present on our sites as well as in the streets.

This fine example of industrial heritage will be restored in the HEGO workshop, together with other parts of the crane.
Finally the crane will be reassembled to working condition and become another showpiece in the MAS collection.
